Tim was asking these questions back in 2001 as he had scanned his photo library and had just started to shoot digital. After looking around and not finding a solution, Tim decided to make his own image database and so the idea of Digitalphotosonline.com (now called ProMediaserve) was born. All without the need for burning DVDs, using couriers or FTP to deliver work to clients and at the same time giving a secure, offsite backup for his valuable digital assets.
ProMediaserve, developed by a professional photographer originally for his own needs, it is continually being updated and refined to meet the needs of other media professionals. Now a fast and efficient tool for all kinds of photographers, not only to show their work over the world wide web, but have it searched, selected and downloaded. The system has become totally flexible yet still uses only a simple web browser interface so that it can be accessed from any computer, anywhere, anytime - no special software is required on any computer either by the photographer or his clients.
