We work both with established prodcution companies and do our own production. We have always done a lot ourselves as often the environment dictated that we had too, whether it be home based shoots in Chamonix or multi-week shoots in the desert in the USA or North Africa... Shooting our own stock means we have to be both efficient and very cost effective with all the production stages. It's our own cash and time used from pre shoot preparations to post production image delivery. On commissioned shoots we have worked with numerous production companies over the years and are unfortunately often frustrated and less than satisfied by their services, feeling we would do a better job left to our own resources. As a photographer, Tim loves the challenge of finding new locations and coming back to shoot them to try to get the results he imagined. It is as much a part of the creative process as shooting the picture itself. For mountain and sports action shoots we insist on doing our own production for safety reasons, as photographers and models can both be in serious danger, with accidents potentially seconds away. We will always have qualified people working on our outdoor sports shoots, such as mountain or river guides and with photoshoot experience too as just hiring a safety team will not necessarily mean they know what is required for shooting on the mountain. We can do all stages of production whether it be researching and working with a local production company to doing it all ourselves - from organizing flights, travel and accommodation, transport, casting and talent, catering, wardrobe and styling to recommending the best places to go eat and relax. As we do our own production, especially for sports shoots, we are always 'street casting' models for own shoots that we are then more than happy to present to clients for catalogue, advertsing or stock. We have compiled a good address book for the Alps, South of France, USA West Coast, USA Utah and direct bookings for Cape Town for all kinds of models from athletes to great looking fashion models of all ages, including kids. In the USA we use Craigs List to advertise for potential models and we are starting to do that in Europe too. We also have 'veteran' models with years of experience of working with us who help form a very efficient team, and who our clients continue to book year after year. Our sports models are top athletes, often pros who have competed at top levels or who have become instructors and guides. For safety reasons we will never shoot action sports with somone who does do not actaully participate in that sport. We are always happy to organize castings, either with a local model agency or with direct bookings form 'streecasting'. local advertising or visiting shools.
Our experience of model agency casting has taught us how to pick models that not only look right for the job but have the personailty to make it a fun experience working with them.

We have a large address book of potential models for any-kind of shoot form worldwide locations, that often can be booked directly. We cast our own models as much for their easy going and friendly personalities as we do their good looks. For sports action shoots we highly recommend using one of our models as we will only ever choose the most talented athletes for the jobs that have even the slightest potential risk. Riding a mountain bike might seem simple but if the model has never done it our experience tell us they probably will fall off when asked to do shots. We use pro athletes whenever possible. All our skiers and snowboarders have competed at the highest levels of competition, so you don't have to worry about them looking good in a shot, our climbers are mountain guides and instructors... Don't hesitate to contact us to ask for model recomendations, and if we don't have anyone suitable we know how and where to find them.
