Tim has been with Canon since the start of autocfocus. Not having shot film for several years, the move towards digital was withe first Canon digital SLR in October 2000 with the Canon EOS 30D. Moving up to the EOS 1D as soon as it was available, client work was shot digitally with stock work shot on the EOS 1Ds when that was released. Those bodies have since been upgraded to the Mark II versions. We have cupboards ful of old film bodies, flash heads, screens and scrims, a lot of which should really be on eBay. Whether a digital photographer likes it or not, the computer is an intergral part of his set up. It seems as much investment in money has to go on laptops, software and hardrives as it does in new digital camera kit, which means some heavy spending and a lot of learning. |
